KELC's Koats for Kids Project Madison's cold winter winds will not feel quite as cold to many children due to the generosity of KELC's families. So far, a number of warm, fashionable coats and snowsuits have found their way into the Koats for Kids bins located near the entrances to KELC. Thank you, parents, for your generosity and kind spirits. KELC will continue to collect winterware garments (coats, snowsuits, mittens, scarves, hats) through October 6. Teen or small adult items are welcome, as well. Remember, children come in all shapes and sizes! During the Koats for Kids Project-2005, run by Georgine Jacobs, Enrichment Coordinator, KELC families donated 67 warm, gently worn coats. The generous spirits of our families gave Miss Georgine a positive response to her query, "Our goats have coats--shouldn't every "KID"? |
