Fall Parent Teacher Conferences KELC's teachers have already spent hours of work this semester creating lesson plans, directing individual, small/large group activities and keeping records of children's progress. A visit to the classrooms often reveals teachers with progress summary sheets close at hand so they can keep track of what children are learning. On Thursday, October 26, parents and teachers will hold 'conversations' regarding children's progress. Entries recorded in each child's Portfolio will provide the structure for conversations. Teachers will set academic and social goals for each child to work toward achieving during this school year. Parent input is welcomed and encouraged as a part of this goal setting process. Parents are encouraged to arrive a little early, enjoy a beverage/treat and fill out Parent Surveys. KELC's administration reads these documents carefully, takes the survey information seriously, and uses it to make and business decisions regarding the school. |
